Nancy Walker

Nancy R. Walker, 33, a former resident of Pacific Grove, died May 26 at Merrithew Memorial Hospital in Martinez after a long illness. Miss Walker was born in San Jose on Nov. 13, 1954. She attended elementary school in Pacific Grove and graduated from Pacific Grove High School in 1973. She was the president of the high school’s senior class that year, and was the homecoming queen in 1972. She also attended Monterey Peninsula College and the University of California at Santa Barbara. Miss Walker worked on the Peninsula at King’s Cross Station and the Carmel Valley Inn. In 1986 she moved to Wendover, Utah, and was a hotel manager for two years. She is survived by her mother, Margaret Reeves and her stepfather, Drayton Reeves, both of Hercules, and her father, Jerald Walker of Seattle. An inurnment service will be held at 11 a.m. today at the Monterey City Cemetery. The family requests that any memorial contributions go to a fund established in Miss Walker’s name at the Intensive Care Unit of Merrithew Memorial Hospital, 2500 Alhambra Ave., Martinez 94553.
